• Friday 14 February 2025 Careers Event - Year 10 In-Comm Trip celebrating National Apprenticeships Week 2025 To celebrate National Apprenticeships Week a group of Year 10 students went to In-Comm Training Provider in Aldridge to take part in a STEM activity day. The students were given the opportunity to explore the site and get an insight into the different companies that send their apprentices to In-Comm, as well as some of the apprenticeship jobs on offer. They had a talk from Brandauer about the roles their apprentices have and the progression routes they offer before seeing some of the apprentices from a variety of companies carrying out their education.
• Wednesday 12 February 2025 Walsall Schools Boccia competition On 6th February, a group of 12 enthusiastic pupils from Year 7, 8 and 9, had the opportunity to take part in the Walsall Schools Boccia competition, where they competed against other schools from the local area. Boccia is a paralympic sport, which is very similar to bowls. Although the game is usually played in a wheelchair, our pupils participated seated on a chair.

• Friday 31 January 2025 Sixth Form Students Deliver Powerful Assembly on Holocaust Memorial Day After Visit to Auschwitz This week, six of our sixth form students delivered an emotional and thought-provoking assembly to mark Holocaust Memorial Day. The students had recently visited Auschwitz, the infamous Nazi concentration and extermination camp, and used their experience to educate the whole school about the atrocities of the Holocaust and the importance of remembering its victims. Their reflections, insights, and personal stories shared during the assembly deeply resonated with students and staff alike, reminding us of the power of education in ensuring such horrors are never forgotten.

• Friday 17 January 2025 Education Equity Meet On Wednesday, 15th January, students from eight of the nine schools within The Mercian Trust participated in their Educational Equity Meet at the University of Birmingham. This significant event marked the first in-person gathering for students who had previously collaborated through online meetings, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose across the Trust’s schools.

• Friday 13 December 2024 Christmas Jumper Day 2024 On Thursday 12th December, Aldridge School held a Christmas Jumper Day. We asked students to donate an item that could help support families in need over the festive period. KS3 students were asked to donate toiletries, KS4 students donated cupboard essentials, and the Sixth Formers donated festive goodies. We were blown away by the generosity of our student body and staff. We are so proud of our students.

• Friday 13 December 2024 Aldridge School's Successful "Act of Kindness" Initiative We are thrilled to share the wonderful success of our recent "Act of Kindness" initiative, which saw the Aldridge School community come together to support those in need this holiday season.

• Monday 9 December 2024 Year 11 Maths Inspiration Trip Year 11 students visited the Crescent Theatre in Birmingham for this years Maths Inspiration show. Aoife Hunt hosted the show introducing students to the maths behind crowd control and the simulations she produces to model what is logistically possible before introducing human behaviour. She spoke about her role as a consultant and what that means, the companies she works for and some of the jobs she has done for specific companies.
• Tuesday 3 December 2024 Upcoming Christmas Events Our Music Department are busy rehearsing for the upcoming Christmas Concert which is being held in Whitman Hall on Monday 16th December (7pm).
• Monday 2 December 2024 Christmas Tree Festival 2024 Over the past few weeks, a handful of Year 7 and 8 pupils have helped create a selection of wonderful decorations for this years Christmas Tree Festival held at Aldridge Methodist Church.
• Monday 2 December 2024 Swing Band Perform at Christmas Tree Festival Aldridge Schools Swing Band provided entertainment at the Aldridge Christmas Tree Festival on Friday 29th November 2024.

• Tuesday 19 November 2024 Careers Fair 2024 An incredible careers experience was offered to all year groups on Tuesday 12th November. Throughout the day, all year groups visited the Careers Fair and some of the 35 stands.
• Monday 11 November 2024 Remembrance Parade and Service Headteacher, Mr Worth, along with Head Boy M. Carter, Head Girl E. Biddle and two Year 7 Students, D. Parsons and J. Done participated in the Aldridge Remembrance Parade and Service on Sunday 10th November 2024 and laid a wreath on behalf of the school.

• Tuesday 22 October 2024 Rotary Club of Aldridge Musical Extravaganza Aldridge School Swing Band and Wind Orchestra, and a Rotary Young Musician Vocalist, Owen White, performed at the Rotary Club of Aldridge Musical Extravaganza on Friday 18th October 2024.

• Friday 11 October 2024 Visit from Wendy Morton MP Year 11 students invited Wendy Morton MP into school on Friday 11th October to interview her as part of their Citizenship coursework studies. They questioned her on local crime and female equality in Parliament, an excellent afternoon where they were able to talk to the elected representative for Aldridge and Brownhills; whilst also voicing their opinions on these subjects.
• Wednesday 9 October 2024 Pedestrian Safety Performance & Workshop Year 7 took place in a Pedestrian Safety performance and workshop on Wednesday 9th October called 'Streetwise' which is provided by Walsall Council. An engaging performance to stress key messages about being safe when navigating the road; a great time was had by all.
• Tuesday 24 September 2024 Careers Event - HS2 STEM Event Selected Year 8 students were chosen to take part in a STEM event run by Andy Bruno from the Smallpeice Trust on behalf of HS2. We were incredibly lucky to also have the support of STEM Ambassador Andrew Clayton from Morgan Sindall.
• Thursday 15 August 2024 A Level Results Day 2024 Well done to all of our Year 13 students on their A-Level results. Fantastic achievements following two years of extremely hard work. We wish you all the very best in your future endeavours.
• Friday 19 July 2024 Year 8 Prize Draw In Year 8 a prize drawer was held, based on attendance and punctuality for the last five weeks of term.

• Friday 19 July 2024 Sports Day A big well done to the participants who competed in sports day. There were some outstanding performances with 6 new School records being set in a variety of track and field events! Huge congratulations to Linley House who led by Mr Heeley, won the boys, girls and overall competitions and collected the maximum 200 points.
