Walsall Schools Boccia competition
On 6th February, a group of 12 enthusiastic pupils from Year 7, 8 and 9, had the opportunity to take part in the Walsall Schools Boccia competition, where they competed against other schools from the local area. Boccia is a paralympic sport, which is very similar to bowls. Although the game is usually played in a wheelchair, our pupils participated seated on a chair.
The day provided a group of SEN students not only the opportunity to participate in a sport, but also to work as a team, improve social skills and represent Aldridge school. We were proud of how the team performed and a most enjoyable day was had by all.
