Remote Learning

Attendance is essential for pupils to get the most out of their school experience, including for their attainment, wellbeing, and wider life chances.

There are, however, some exceptional circumstances where it might not be possible for pupils to receive in person education. These circumstances fall into 2 broad categories:

  • school closures or restrictions on attendance, where school access for pupils is restricted
  • individual cases where a pupil is unable to attend school but can learn

In line with government guidance, the work we provide during periods of remote education aims to be high quality, meaningful, ambitious, and cover an appropriate range of subjects to enable pupils to keep on track with their education.

How to access remote education

In the first instance, you should use the link below to access our remote learning site and select the correct year group. There is a folder for each subject where you can either access the work to complete or further instructions. In some subjects, particularly for Year 10 and 11, you will be redirected to Microsoft Teams where the lesson materials are routinely uploaded on a lesson- by-lesson basis. Some subjects have provided links to recorded lessons developed by high quality external providers.

For students in Year 12 and 13, you should always access Microsoft Teams for remote learning.
