Year 7 Royal Navy Helicopter Workshop
Year 7 have been taking part in a Royal Navy workshop this week. They have been learning all about the Royal Navy and helicopters. The Royal Navy spoke about their careers before pupils started building their own paper helicopters and engineering them to stay in the air longer. The sessions ended with the students competing against each other to see who had managed to produce the most successful helicopter, determined by which one stayed in the air the longest. Special prizes were also awarded to those who had shown creativity in their designs and excellent engineering skills.
It was a fantastic 2 days of workshops for Year 7. A big thanks to the Royal Navy for providing such an engaging and enjoyable workshop.
