Year 5 pupils visit Aldridge School for a World Book Day Quiz
As Dr. Seuss once said: “The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” Dr. Seuss’ opinion of books really did apply to our Year 5 Bookworms in a recent World Book Day Quiz.
A dedicated group of Year 5 pupils from Cooper and Jordan, Whetstone Field, Leighswood, Mayfield, St Michaels, Rushall and Park Hall competed in a World Book Day Quiz at Aldridge School. The challenge was extremely competitive, and the ultimate winners were “The Amazing Readers.”
E Roberts, Year 5 pupil, said, “I had a great time, and really enjoyed the different rounds! I also made friends with pupils from other schools.”
The students took home some wonderful prizes, proving that a love for reading really does make you a winner!
