Year 10 & 11 BOA Stage and Screen Trip

Year 10 and 11 students had the opportunity to visit BOA Stage and Screen as part of Creative Careers week. Students took part in a variety of creative workshops to introduce them to some of the possibilities within the creative careers industry. Workshops included:

  • Script writing – students looked at the start of horror films and what builds tension to make them effective before writing their own opening to a horror film
  • Acting – students were led through an acting workshop and at the end 2 of our students stood up to perform
  • TV editing – students learnt how to combine the video and sound feeds and then splice in a different section of film
  • Costume design – students designed their own costumes based on a Disney theme
  • Hair and make up – students created bruises using make up techniques

A fantastic insight into the variety of creative careers and what BOA Stage and Screen does.
