Winners of the Inter House Remembrance Assembly Competition 2023

As part of Aldridge School’s act of remembrance, students were tasked to create their own assembly to highlight the importance of wearing their poppies and commemorating Armistice Day in 2023.

The four chosen winners were asked to present their assemblies to the whole school across the week so that their message could be shared to all students.  They very bravely rose to the challenge and delivered an excellent and informative assembly.  Each one received the very first Aldridge Character Education Award, or ACE for short, for their diligence and work in completing the assemblies and their fortitude in delivering them to their peers.

Their assemblies showed respect to the memories of soldiers past and present, respect for the role of women and animals in historic conflicts and used poetry to highlight the importance of the impact conflict has.
