Success for Cross Country Team

The Aldridge School Cross Country team had a very successful morning at the Walsall Schools Cross Country Championship on Friday 10th November. We had excellent numbers in all races and all pupils who took part did extremely well.

The Year 7 boys were dominant in their age group and finished first with the girls team finishing third. The Year 8/9 girls also finished first in their age group, with the Year 8/9 boys team finishing fourth.

It was great to see so many Key Stage 4 pupils wanting to take part. Aldridge School had by far the largest KS4 team than any other school. The Year 10 and 11 boys and girls teams both finished in first place.

Overall, this meant that Aldridge School finished first in front of St Francis, Queen Marys, Streetly and a host of other schools within the borough. Those finishing in the top six in their races will be invited to represent the borough at the County Championships.
