BCU Poetry Slam Showcase
On 8th May, following their four-week 'Memorhyme' literacy project with Richard 'Dreadlockalien' Grant and Alan 'Kurly' Mc Geachie, 12 students were personally selected by both performance poets to showcase their work at the Birmingham City University Poetry Slam Showcase/Recording at their state of the art media space.
Our students produced an eclectic range of personal poems, which they performed in front of students from Aldridge and Hamstead Hall whilst being recorded in preparation for a digital anthology of poems by local young people.
Well done to our students for being selected out of over 200 who participated in the project to be able to showcase their talents on this stage.
