Assessment
Assessment is our way of understanding how well your child is grasping the knowledge and skills outlined in the curriculum. It’s not just about formal tests; it includes various activities that teachers use to gather evidence of your child’s understanding. This helps us judge how well they are learning what they need to know, do and how best teachers can help them to progress and develop important knowledge and skills.
Summative Assessments (SAs) help confirm your child's understanding and mastery of key learning objectives. Each subject has an assessment calendar, with SAs planned based on the number of lessons. SAs sample previously covered material and are essential in ensuring students achieve their full potential.
