Year 12 End of Year Exams

Year 13’s Celebration assembly
Friday 13th May 2022 marked the end of one chapter for our Year 13 students and the beginning of a new one. To mark the event the Sixth Form team put on an assembly to remember, an assembly with a “hot pink” colour scheme! – Mrs Elton’s favourite colour!
The assembly commenced with music from our very own talented youngsters in the swing band, followed swiftly by our very own Kierut playing the dohl drum. Awards were presented by the students for the students with some very interesting categories, the best bromance and the best couple that never was.
Miss Mould then compiled a little treat for the students, listing the popular music during their childhood which included a special appearance from our very own Mrs Ali. You just had to be there!
Following all the giggles, smiles and a few happy tears, Mrs Elton presented them with their special treat, Project D doughnuts.

What Career Live?
Friday 4th March 2022

On Friday 4th March, both Yr12 and Yr13 boarded the green buses and we took trip to the NEC to What Career Live? What University? live event.
What University? & What Career? Live is the essential event for 15-19 year olds considering their options after leaving school or college.
We were able to meet many of the UK’s top unis and employers – including NHS, University of Oxford, J.P. Morgan, Aston University, Aon, Loughborough University, Mott MacDonald, University for the Creative Arts and many more – to find out about apprenticeships and higher education opportunities.
Mrs Elton and Miss Mould networked around the exhibitors and collected some very interesting information, particularly around Higher level apprenticeships. Mrs Elton has some very exciting people lined up to talk to us as a result. Below are just a few of the interesting leaflets we collected.

Revision Market Place
16th February 2022
Today we held a revision fair for all of our Year 12 students with the focus on the different styles / types of revision that they are completing during their study periods. Form groups produced a presentation board to display all the techniques that they are currently employing. The outcomes were brilliant. Students shared ideas and some even learnt new ones, including us!
