Languages in Year 9

Over the last two years your child has had the opportunity to learn the basics of
two foreign languages – French and German. We are now beginning to cover the
more complex aspects of the languages and therefore it is best for the students

School Update May 20th

I am sure that, like me, you have been watching the news over the last week or so to
try to decipher the messages about schools returning next half term. I am sure that
you will appreciate that it is very difficult to plan when everything is still subject to
changing announcements from the government or the Department for Education. The
current expectation is for us to look to provide some opportunity for students in Years
10 and 12 to come into school towards the end of next half term.

Aldridge School Update

This is the fifth school week of the lockdown and the seventh week overall. Everyone is
dealing with the lockdown in different ways but one thing is clear – most people are beginning
to tire of being shut away and everyone is beginning to speculate about how and when we can return to any sort of ‘normality’.
