School Details

Aldridge is a comprehensive school for pupils of all abilities and backgrounds, aged between 11 and 19. Aldridge School became an academy on 1st April 2012 and joined The Mercian Trust 1st September 2017.

We are committed to providing a broad, balanced and relevant education leading to GCSE examinations at the age of 16 in National Curriculum and other subjects. For those who stay on at Aldridge after 16 years of age, there are GCE AS and A Levels and vocational courses, which lead to higher education and professional careers.

We pride ourselves in providing the highest quality of academic achievement, support and guidance for all pupils whatever their ability or potential. Our reputation as a caring school, with high academic standards, is built upon these ideals.

We insist that teaching and learning is done in a well ordered atmosphere, in which all are respected and encouraged to treat others as they would like to be treated themselves.

Some years ago a group of teachers, pupils, parents and governors drew up our “Statement of Shared Values”. These are as valid now as they were then, and remain the cornerstone of the “ethos” of the school.

We have good facilities, and a highly committed professional staff, dedicated to the development of each pupil in our school. Furthermore, we strive to work in partnership with pupils and parents. Working together, teachers, pupils and parents can achieve anything.
