Commemorating 100 years of the Royal British Legion at Aldridge School
The school were asked if we would like to produce some poems to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the RBL on the 15th May, by the Aldridge branch of RBL. We thought this would be a perfect opportunity for our students to engage with the wider community and the amazing work that the RBL charity do.
The response from our students was amazing, we received so many heartfelt poems that evoked real emotion.
The poems have been passed to Tam Miller, Aldridge RBL who is in the process of publishing them on RBL social media, the poem that receives the most ‘likes’ will then be published in the RBL magazine, a huge Honour.
The poems were so creative that we felt it would be wonderful to create a display within school to showcase all the hard work of our pupils for this task.
It was a wonderful project to be a part of
