Year 7 pupils were entertained by author, Chris Bradford, as part of the school’s annual Book Week.  They were fascinated by the insight he gave them into the world of writing.

Chris Bradford is the bestselling author of the Young Samurai, Ninja and Bodyguard Series. Chris is renowned for his ‘method writing’ style. For his award-winning Young Samurai series, he trained in samurai swordmanship, karate, ninjutsu and earned his black belt in Zen Kyu Shin Taijutsu. For his BODYGUARD series, Chris embarked on an intensive close protection course to become a qualified professional bodyguard.

Pupils have produced some excellent work in Art based on his books, they were inspired by Chris Bradford’s Young Samurai series of books, and have created some Traditional Japanese Artwork.

During the course of the first half-term a number of book-related competitions have taken place and over 120 prizes were distributed at the prize giving ceremony on Thursday 24th October.  Pupils were presented with a signed copy of Chris Bradford’s latest book.  The school was pleased to welcome local author, Kim Nikolaou, to present the prizes.
