When the Truth Came Out.
By Matilda Leach
I had this one thing on my mind,
It honestly left me sleepless.
I sat down on the chair in the
living room, with my parents,
the walls, sad and blank,
dark, like my thoughts.
The grey tint of the atmosphere,
My cold, wet tears…
I was sweating, contemplating.
When the truth came out,
I couldn’t hold it anymore.
The birds whistled and the
sun shone through the
window, the sad window.
The long-lasting weight on my
shoulders, it was gone!
The feeling of relief bombarded me,
When the truth came out.
