Aldridge School celebrates post-16 successes including places at Oxford and Cambridge University

Aldridge School students and staff are once again celebrating improved results for A level and Vocational students, with over 80% going onto university.

Jade Powell and Jennifer Smith have netted 7 A*/A grades between them and secured places at Oxford and Cambridge University.  Jade is to read Physics at Oxford, whilst Jennifer is set to read History at Cambridge.

There were further successes for Millie Davidson, Charlotte Robinson, Lauryn Thomas and Josh Hawkins who achieved 8 Grade As and 3 Grade Bs between them.  Millie is to continue her studies in Art & Design whilst Charlotte is delighted to be going to Birmingham City University to read Psychology. Lauryn is to read English and Creative Writing at the University of Birmingham, with Josh set to go to De Montford University to study Graphic Design.

Headteacher Ian Bryant said “I am very proud of our students’ successes and grateful to their teachers for all their hard work supporting them.   I wish our students all the best for the future whether they are moving on to university, an apprenticeship or employment.”
