A very lucky group of our Year 9 students have commenced an eight-week Scholars Programme with a university PhD tutor. The tutor will attend the school to deliver university-style tutorials, after which each student will complete a final assignment of 2000 words. While this will be a challenging experience for the students, they are finding the study topic on “Science and Media” very interesting.

The programme was launched at The University of Bristol on the 15th January. The proud students were also treated to a tour of the campus, a study skills session, the chance to meet and talk to current students and advice and guidance about universities.

Upon completion students will be attending a special Graduation Ceremony at a top university!
