Students studying Citizenship and Government and Politics received a talk from the Peer Lord Jordan.
has been in the House of Lords since the year 2000 and has spent time as the General Secretary of the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions and a Governor of both the London School of Economics and the BBC.
Lord Jordan shared with the students his experiences of life before he became a member of the House of Lords growing up in Birmingham and rising through the trade union movement. Lord Jordan also shared with students his experiences of working in the House of Lords, especially providing students with an insight into its inner working.
