A very lucky group of our Year 10 students have commenced an eight-week Scholars Programme with a university PhD tutor. The tutor will attend the school to deliver university-style tutorials, after which each student will complete a final assignment of 2000 words. While this will be a challenging experience for the students, they are finding the study topic (‘Bacteria: Friend or Foe’) interesting.

The programme was launched at The University of Nottingham on the 9^th January. The proud students were also treated to a tour of the campus, a study skills session, the chance to meet and talk to current students and advice and guidance about universities.

Upon completion students are hoping to attend a special Graduation Ceremony at The University of Oxford, Trinity College!
