Students from the Senior Concert Band are pictured with Cllr Marco Longhi, Mayor of Walsall, following their performance in the Council House to mark the retirement of Chief Executive Paul Sheehan. Mr Sheehan, who retires this week has had a number of events planned for him but this particular surprise was bringing along young performers who form part of the established high standards of music at Aldridge School. Mr Sheehan, clearly moved by this performance, extended his thanks and appreciation to all the students who took part. The Mayor received the young people in his Parlour and gave generously of his time showing parts of the Council House, explaining its workings and the long history of Walsall.
